When rangelands disappear, what future do we leave behind?

Join us in restoring balance to nature— one seed, one tree, and one rangeland at a time. Explore how our solutions are shaping sustainable ecosystems and communities.

Change starts with the right tools.

We are supporting selected farmers and business people to become service providers, so that they can supply essential tools and services that will help farmers increase their production and grow their incomes.

Transforming Landscapes, Enriching Lives

our mission is to regenerate rangelands, nurture biodiversity, and empower communities with solutions that endure for generations.

Our Plan

_

Our Theory Of Change

Rangelands Reseeding Solutions Ltd (RRS) operates under the Theory of Change that enhancing pastoralist communities’ resilience in ASALs requires an integrated approach addressing land degradation, climate change adaptation, conflict management, and gender inclusion. By restoring degraded rangelands through the provision of biochar-coated grass and tree seeds, RRS aims to improve the sustainability of livestock production, reduce conflicts over grazing resources, and promote social inclusion.

If degraded arid and semi-arid areas are restored or rejuvenated, livestock production practices and landscape management are improved, and increased access to income, then communities will have enhanced resilience and thriving livelihoods in a peaceful and gender sensitive environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Rangelands Reseeding Solutions Ltd specialize in?

We focus on restoring and reclaiming rangeland ecosystems through innovative seeding technologies. Our specialties include the production of high-quality pasture seeds, pasture seedballs, and indigenous tree seedballs.

What are seedballs, and how do they work?

Seedballs are seeds encapsulated in a nutrient-rich coating made of biochar and organic materials. This coating protects the seeds, enhances germination rates, and allows for easy dispersal in arid and semi-arid regions, even under harsh conditions.

Why are seedballs beneficial for rangeland restoration?

Seedballs are drought-resistant, require minimal labor to distribute, and are designed to germinate when conditions are optimal. This makes them ideal for large-scale restoration projects in challenging environments.

What types of seeds do you offer?

We offer:

  • Pasture seeds: Drought-resistant and high-yield grass species like African Foxtail Grass and Maasai Love Grass.
  • Pasture seedballs: Enhanced with nutrients for easy establishment.
  • Indigenous tree seedballs: Promoting reforestation and biodiversity.
How do I know if my land is suitable for reseeding?

If your land shows signs of degradation, reduced vegetation, or soil erosion, it may benefit from reseeding. We offer consultations and rangeland assessments to guide you.

What makes your products sustainable?

Our production methods prioritize organic and natural materials, minimizing environmental impact. By supporting native vegetation and sustainable land management practices, we contribute to long-term ecological balance.
